OLSON, Kurt Eric age 69 of Centerville passed away Friday January 22, 2010 at Sycamore Hospital. Kurt was born September 3, 1940 in Schenectady, N.Y. to the late Harry Eric and Inga Natalia (Malmberg) Olson. Kurt graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. Degree in Engineering, a Masters Degree from the University of Dayton in Engineering, he retired from Delco in 1999, memberships included Grace Lutheran Church, A.S.M., Miami Valley Choral, Heathergreen Chrior and the Dayton Scandinavian Society. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rita Ellen (Utterback) Olson in 2008, sister Joyce Carolyn (Olson) Hughes and daughter-in-law Melissa Ann (Adams) Olson. Surviving are his children Kent Eric Olson of Bargersville, IN, Amy Ellen Olson and husband Patrick John Dolan of Glenview, IL, Chad Edgar Olson of Union, KY, 4 granddaughters Linnea Louise Dolan, Lillian Elena Dolan, Meagan Hailey Olson and Alana Taylor Olson. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church 410 East Peace Avenue West Carrollton, OH 45449 with Rev. Dean Haferman officiating. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at the church on Wednesday (2 hours prior to services). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Kurt's memory. Arrangements, SANNER FUNERAL HOME, WEST CARROLLTON.
