Ethicon Endo Surgery,Inc. a member of the Johnson and Johnson family of companies, is currently looking for a qualified Engineer with a strong background in Metal Tooling and Processing.  This person will act as the technical expert in the Metals field supporting New Product Development as a Component Development Engineer. The responsibilities include:

*Developing Component Manufacturing Processes
*Using Design for Manufacturability principles in the Development Process
*Support New Product Development as a Component Development Engineer and *Technical Expert in Metals Tooling and Processes

*Working Directly with Product Designers

BS degree in engineering and minimum of 10 years experience in the related field (Must)
Strong Background in Metal Tooling and Processing including:
*Machining and Micro-Machining (Stainless Steels, Titanium and exotic metals)
*Knowledge of Metal Injection Molding
*Metal component design for Manufacturability
*Metallic component process development
*Metallic component process qualification
*Knowledge in basic statistics, DOE and Process Control
*Knowledge of Powdered Metallurgy Processing
*Metallic Materials and Metallurgy
*Stamping tool design and development
*Understanding Metal forming process and metal forming equipment
*Secondary Options (tumbling, heat treatment, finishing, machining, secondary strike)
*Engineering drawing specification and GD&T
*Proven successful track record
*Tool and Die Journeyman (Highly desired)
*Supervisory experience with Stamped Component Tooling Programs
*Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
*Interface/experience with major steel processing industry
